2013 Land Rover Defender LXV Special Edition

The desire to create a vehicle that will tackle any terrain has been at the forefront of the Land Rover brand since the foundations were first sketched in the sand by Maurice Wilks. This principle has subsequently made Land Rover famous around the world since production began in 1948. 'HUE 166' was the very first Series I Land Rover, affectionately known by many as 'Huey', and will be on prominent display at the event.
The occasion also set the scene for the debut of a Special Edition Defender - the LXV (65 in roman numerals). Defender evolved from the original Land Rover in 1990 and this iconic family of utility vehicles - Land Rover Series I, II, III and Defender - has now sold in excess of two million units. Available in five different body styles, the LXV is based on the standard Land Rover Defender which is equipped with the 2.2-litre diesel engine and 6-speed manual transmission, producing 122PS@3,500rpm of power and 360Nm@2,000rpm of torque.

Substantial improvements were made to the specification last year, including introduction of the EU5 2.2-litre diesel engine, ventilated discs, detail improvements to the interior and new option packs to the 'S' and 'SE' trim levels. Three speed-limiting options were also added for fleet users wanting to benefit from effective control of fuel costs.

VW Golf 7 2013 Light-Tron Tuning-Showcar

On 4 September of 2012, Volkswagen celebrated the world premiere of the new Golf in Berlin. Just one day later, advance sales of the car - a best-seller with over 29 million units sold - began in initial launch countries. Just three weeks later, Volkswagen presented the Golf for the first time to a large audience at the Paris Motor Show. And the first Golf cars will arrive at dealers on 10 November (launch in Germany). The seventh generation of this Volkswagen delivers the best Golf ever: its weight was reduced by up to 100 kg, thereby reversing the often cited upward weight spiral. Fuel economy was improved by a maximum of 23 per cent, depending on engine selection. The future Golf BlueMotion – advance sales begin later this year – will have a low fuel consumption of 3.2 l/100 km as measured under standard NEDC conditions (equates to 85 g/km CO2). In addition, Volkswagen is equipping the Golf with an entire armada of new assistance systems on the market – some as options and others as standard.

2014 ABT VW Golf VII GTI Dark Edition

With a maximum drive speed of more than 300 kph, golf is one of the fastest ball sports ever. If you want a similarly fast “Golf car”, you have to go no further than ABT Sportsline. The Golf VII R, with a respectable “handicap” to begin with, after a visit to the “Bavarian Driving Range“ features 400 hp / 294 kW, one third up from its serial 300 hp / 221 kW. “To top our previous uprating to 370 hp, we have not only optimised the ABT Engine Control software but also installed a sport-type catalytic converter,“ says CEO Hans-Jürgen Abt. Both the ABT Power and the new, strong ABT Power S kit are based upon the specially developed “New Generation” ABT control unit, which guarantees maximum power and utmost dependability. This has been proven on our own dynamometer and on public roads.
