2016 Porsche Cayman GT4

The new member of the Porsche GT family is the Cayman GT4. This is the first time Porsche is introducing a GT sports car based on the Cayman which has components of the 911 GT3. A lap time of 7 minutes and 40 seconds on the North Loop of the Nürburgring positions the Cayman GT4 as the new benchmark at the top of its market segment. It also makes a clear statement that Porsche will continue to promote radical two-door sports cars in the future – sports cars that are developed at the Motorsport department in Weissach.

2014 Porsche Cayman

Porsche AG is celebrating the world premiere of the new Cayman at the 2012 Los Angeles Auto Show. The third generation of the Cayman has been completely new developed. It is lower and longer, lighter and faster, more efficient and more powerful than ever. A longer wheelbase, wider track and larger wheels enhance the driving performance of the mid-engine sports car to a level without equal in its competitive class. The new two-seater is – after the 911 Carrera and Boxster – the third sports car model line from Porsche to feature innovative lightweight body design. The new Cayman is up to 30 kg lighter, depending on the specific model and equipment, and it consumes up to 15 per cent less fuel per 100 km than the previous model – despite higher engine and driving performance.

For the first time, the 911 Targa 4 GTS combines the successful GTS idea with the classic targa concept. Its more powerful engine with 430 hp (316 kW) and standard Sport Chrono package generate even more dynamic performance. Other GTS-specific ingredients include matt black 20-inch wheels with central wheel locks, sport design front end, black air intake screens and, also in black, GTS logos on the doors, at the rear and on the rollover protection bar. Inside, the black Alcantara on the steering wheel and seats and trim accents made of black brushed aluminum create a sporty flair.
