2016 Mercedes-AMG C63 Estate

Using the 205 series aluminium and steel chassis structure as its basis, the new C 63 adds an all-new 4.0-litre biturbo engine to endow it with phenomenal performance while unique, three-stage adjustable dampers and a bespoke steering setup allow it to retain the agility that made the model it replaces the most popular AMG ever created.

The technology applied to the new Mercedes-AMG C 63 is focussed on enhancing the performance of the car – to make it as exhilarating as possible yet viable to be used every day. The dynamic engine mounts fitted to the C 63 are a good example. They reduce unwanted vibration from the engine and gearbox by softening during normal driving conditions – when greater agility is required, they stiffen to improve responses through the speed-sensitive, electromechanical steering system and limit unwanted movement in the drivetrain.

Mercedes-Benz celebrates the 60th anniversary of a memorable motor racing success with an extraordinary special model of the SL Roadster. Its name commemorates the unexpected victory of a 300 SL in the production sports cars class at the 1955 "Mille Miglia", one of the world's most challenging long-distance races. What's more: the SL Special Edition "Mille Miglia 417" provides a special experience of the unique symbiosis of maximum comfort and motor racing spirit that traditionally characterises every SL. The SL-Class range is set for a power hike as a series of revisions are announced. The new SL 400 Sport will join the SL family replacing the SL 350 as the entry model to the range and the SL 63 AMG will gain even more power. Fitted with a V6 biturbo drivetrain the SL 400 features an increase of 27 hp and 110 Nm of torque over the outgoing engine and is quicker, despite displacement being decreased by half a litre. The SL 400 will be available from £72,500 OTR and deliveries will start in July. A total of 333 hp and 480 Nm of torque are produced by the all-new six-cylinder engine equipped with two turbochargers lowering the 0-62 sprint from 5.9 to 5.2 seconds.
